About Us

CPD-accredited canine first aid training for dog lovers and professionals.

About Us

At First Aid for Dogs, we believe every dog owner and pet professional deserves the confidence to act swiftly in an emergency. Since 2007, our founder Julie Cleasby, a qualified nurse with a background in training and education, has been delivering trusted, practical courses to the public and professionals alike.

Our team brings together a wealth of experience in nursing, animal care, and first aid education to create training that is not only engaging and hands-on, but also rooted in real-world scenarios. We’re passionate about making first aid accessible, empowering people of all ages and backgrounds to make a difference when it matters most.

As part of the award-winning To Baby and Beyond training group, we’re proud to offer a growing range of CPD-accredited First Aid for Dogs courses — tailored for:

Dog owners and pet lovers

Dog groomers, walkers, trainers, and sitters

Veterinary and rescue volunteers

Schools, youth groups, and even young learners through our Kids to the Rescue sessions.

All our courses are independently accredited by The CPD Standards Office, giving you assurance of quality and recognition of your learning.

Whether you choose to join us in person, online, or host your own event — we're here to help you learn, grow, and protect the dogs you love.
