What we cover
Our comprehensive dog first aid courses are designed to give you the confidence and skills to help your dog in any emergency. You’ll learn:
Your role in first aid and when to involve the vet
How to keep your pet safe in emergencies, including car accidents and at home
Recognising signs of pain and illness in dogs
Routine health checks and accident response
Breathing and respiratory issues, including choking
Dog CPR and what to do in cases of drowning
Managing shock, broken bones, and spinal injuries
How to safely move an injured dog
Controlling bleeding, using dressings and bandages (including ears and tail)
First aid for paw, ear, eye, and mouth problems
Treating common illnesses, poisoning, bites, and stings
Handling burns, heatstroke, and other temperature-related issues
What to do during seizures and epilepsy
Special considerations for older dogs, puppies, and young animals
What to include in your pet first aid kit
Our courses combine practical skills and essential knowledge, so you’re prepared for any first aid emergency.
