We’ve recently introduced a Zoom option for our First Aid for Dogs courses, and they’re proving a popular option for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you don’t live near one of our usual venues, maybe you’re shielding, or it could be that you’re just not yet ready to head out to an event. We’re here to make sure you learn First Aid for Dogs skills in the best place for you, whether that’s on face-to-face course, a Zoom course or an at-home course with friends or colleagues.

But you may be wondering how we run our Zoom course, given we’re not in the same room as you?! Well, it’s surprisingly easy and effective. Many of you will have used Zoom - or something similar like Google Meet, Skype or Facetime - to catch up with family, friends or workmates so you know how easy that aspect is.

We then ensure that our instructor takes over the screen as the ‘presenter’ meaning that your attention is focused on them and not your fellow learners.

We’ve tried and tested various camera angles, and we feel we’ve got the best one to show off the instructor’s demonstration of canine first aid techniques. We’ve also tested the volume at our end so that you can then adjust it at your end to get the best sound level for you. Our instructor’s explanations will be clear and, of course, can be repeated if need be.

The session is, like any face-to-face course, interactive so although you’ll be at home or, perhaps, work you can still ask questions about any aspect you may have queries about. We also assess your work by watching you try out the techniques.

One of the main differences between our face-to-face course and the Zoom course is that your furry friend (for whom you’re learning all these skills after all!) can join you as you learn. This is definitely an aspect of the course that is proving popular with all you dog lovers out there!

As with the face-to-face course you’ll receive your First Aid for Dogs emergency first aid booklet, and a certificate of attendance.

If you’re tempted to book on our Zoom First Aid for Dogs course, but have a question or two, just get in touch. We’d love to help!

Ready to book? You can see and book all our of forthcoming courses here. As well as our Zoom course we have face-to-face, socially distanced courses in Brighton & Hove, Angmering, Crawley, London, Guildford and Woking, or we can arrange an at-home course for you and friends, family or colleagues.
